Annual MTS Hockey Tournament 2025

Ready for some hockey? Thanks to our marvelous hosts, the Mountain View Teachers’ Association, the 2025 Manitoba Teachers’ Society Hockey Tournament is set to take place April 11-12 at Credit Union Place in Dauphin.

Registration is open and space for teams is limited. As part of the $700 team registration, teams will enjoy three hockey games throughout the weekend and a social event at the Boulevard Hotel on Saturday evening.

MTS 2025 Hockey Classic April 11-17

Tournament Rules:

No games on Sunday. Drive home safely.
This is a non-competitive recreational hockey tournament. Ties are sufficient.
Disrespect on the ice towards players and/ or officials is not tolerated and may require the removal of player(s).
This tournament is co-ed and teams are encouraged to have a range of skills and abilities. We’ll do our best to match levels.
Each team will get three games.
Games are held at scheduled times, not earlier. Expect a delay here and there.
Games are 44 minutes each: Two running-time periods of 22 minutes. Players will have a 3-5 minute warmup. Floods will occur between each game.
If a penalty occurs, the ‘victim’ of the penalty will be rewarded with a penalty shot. Any player with three penalties will be asked to leave the ice for the remainder of that game.
Since there are no finals or tournament winners, no cash or prizes will be awarded to any team.
“Gretzky rule” An individual player can score only up to a maximum of three goals in a single game.
If you are leading by five goals, you must pass at least three times before taking a shot on net in the offensive zone.
