MB Teacher Registry Launched

Teacher Professional Conduct and Teacher Registry

As of January 6, 2025, there is a Commissioner of Teacher Professional Conduct, an independent Commissioner appointed under The Education Administration Act. The Commissioner oversees the new teacher professional conduct review process, including receiving and investigating reports and complaints, facilitating consent resolution agreements and referring cases to a hearing panel for adjudication.

The Teacher Registry is live as well, as of January 6, 2025. The online Registry of Certified Teachers and School Clinicians provides information about certificate holders, including the status of their certificate, any records of suspension or cancellation of the certificate, or any current limitations or conditions imposed.

All information related to the complaint process and Teacher Registry can be found here.

Since The Manitoba Teachers’ Society has no direct control over the Registry, if you have questions, please first refer to the Frequently Asked Questions document created by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning.

Any other questions can be directed to the Teacher Certification and Standards Branch at tcs@gov.mb.ca or phone: 204-945-4720.
