Professional Learning Opportunity
Start the school year off with professional development specifically tailored to you. The Manitoba Teachers’ Society invites you to participate in these virtual workshops for MTS members who are substitute teachers in Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
Date: Tuesday, September 3, 2024
Time: 9:00pm – 3:30pm
Location: McMaster House Auditorium
There is a nominal fee of $10 for registration which includes breakfast, lunch and participant materials. The session is open to all substitute teachers employed by a public school division in Manitoba.

The Seminar Program will be tailored to participants feedback during registration and finalized at the end of August. Be sure to indicate your needs during registration.

Is this workshop going to be presented as both virtual and in person?
The workshop on September 3rd is an in-person event. We will also be offering a virtual workshop for substitute teachers on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 and Thursday, November 7, 2024 (both days from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.). Stay tuned for registration for the virtual workshop in fall 2024.

When is the registration deadline?
Registration for the in-person event will close on Thursday, August 29th at 12:00 p.m. A reminder email will be sent to registered participants following this deadline to remind them of the session.
