Public health restrictions due to COVID-19 have affected the format, duration and scope of this year’s Annual General Meeting. As such, the 101st Annual General Meeting of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society will take place remotely on Friday, May 22, 2020, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and running for a maximum of three hours.
The meeting will be conducted in a live Zoom webinar format, with all 333 delegates linking in from across the province.
Due to the condensed format of the meeting, only the essential governance, fiduciary and democratic business of The Society will be discussed.
The Provincial Executive election will also take place through a secure online format. Election results will be announced on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. There are nine candidates running for the six available positions.
